Welcome to the 6th European Conference on Paediatric and Neonatal Cardiac Intensive Care (EPNCIC)

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to welcome you to Montreux, Switzerland for the sixth edition of this conference, organized for this edition as a Joint Meeting with the European Conference on Paedaitric and Neonatal Mechanical Ventilation (EPNV). Inspired by the success of the past five events we have strived to organize the 6th Conference, again focusing on the main objective to serve the multidisciplinary community involved with critical paediatric and congenital cardiac patients in Europe and across the world.

As before, we believe that the crucial principle of inter-disciplinary work can only result in improving the management of paediatric cardiac patients.

With the concept of building up the educational sessions over the 3 days from basic knowledge of cardiac intensive care to more complex topics, we will offer participants of various levels of education a stepwise learning experience. Topics will be revisiting the state of the art management practices in the Paediatric or Neonatal CICU setting. The conference will promote interactivity, and offer main conferences, open forums and workshops in different areas. In addition, as it is organized as a Joint Meeting with EPNV participants can freely choose their sessions of interest in one or the other meeting.

The purpose of EPNCIC is to offer the opportunity to involve practitioners from different fields in discussions with key experts and internationally known speakers on various topics, in a spontaneous, relaxed atmosphere.

In light of this spirit, we invite you to participate and to help us make this 6th Edition of the European Conference on Paediatric and Neonatal Cardiac Intensive Care another successful, enriching experience.
